Denver, CO – The Jim Baggot Region could have some the best games of the tournament. With most of those possible games including Denver East.

9. Palmer

8. Grandview

In the not so distance past this game would have been a marque match up. However both programs have fallen on hard times and are currently rebuilding. The Terrors are lead in scoring by junior Will Ross while Grandview is 1- 5 in February and lead by senior Andrew Joiner.

Pick – Grandview

12. Liberty

5. Boulder

Liberty is by Tj Clark Jr. and Matt Gosselin and have gone 3-2 in the month of February. If they want to have a shot versus Boulder they must push Boulder off the three point line and out rebound the Panthers. Boulder is on a two game losing streak heading into the tournament. The Panthers must get production from Turner and Taliaferro  and someone else to make a serious run.

Pick – Boulder

10. Highlands Ranch

7. Chatfield

It sounds like Ranch will be with out Stewart for the foreseeable future due to injury. However that might draw the Falcons together and play with a sense of purpose.  Downs leads Chatfield in scoring and the Charges are 5-1 in February.

Pick- Chatfield

11. Fairview

6. Denver East

A number of people were shocked to see East at a six seed it has been at least three years sense they had not received a bye in the state tournament. East should be able to take this game but the Fairview head coach Frank Lee has been coaching for a long time and will have some sort of scheme cooked up.

Pick – Denver East

Games of the Night – Palmer @ Grandview, Highlands Ranch @ Chatfield

Rest of the Way –

This were things start to get dicy

A possible Dever East match up with 3rd seeded Rock Canyon at Rock Canyon has the makings to be an instant classic with the guard power in that game for both sides. However it would come down to can the Jaguars stop the Angels in the paint.

Rangview should be able to get by either HR or Chatfield however the Raiders could struggle if they come into the game not focused. Rangeview would then face with Rock Canyon or Denver East. Rangeview with out question would be focused for either team and again Rock Canyon would need find answers for Reed and Storey Way in the paint. While a match up with East would be a fast and physical game.

Cherokee Trail will get tested by Boulder but Lottie and Thornton should be too much for Boulder. But that was the same thought as earlier in the season win Boulder got the 1 point win.  Which then would bring on a possible Regis match up.  The guards of CT are fast enough and strong enough to push the Raiders away from the 3 point line but can Thornton handle Borylla and Kelly by himself.

The possible combination for the elite game basically pits a rematch of earlier season games such as Denver East, Rock Canyon,  and Rangeview vs Regis or Cherokee Trail vs Denver East or Rangeview.

Final Four Pick – Regis Jesuit in another thriller over East
