Adidas Summer Championships – Super 64 -Colorado Preview

There are only three Colorado clubs at the Adidas Summer Championships Billups Elite, Colorado Hawks, and the Colorado Titans. The Super 64 is not as watered down as some of the other tournaments and each team regardless of division will have to be on their “A” game in pool play.

17’s Schedule

J1 Billups Elite – This one last chance for the Elite players. Luke Neff has already committed to the University of Denver but the other need to have a big time tournament. Guards Khameron Davis, LaDarius Thomas and 6’10 big man Antonio Capley need to play well to seal  up the offers.

K4 Colorado Hawks – Hawks have been playing well as of late. They get the tournament started this evening versus UPlay Canada. Hawks should be at full strength for this one and don’t expect any travel issues on Sunday if the Hawks can put a run together. Look for Alpha Diallo and DeRon Davis to have huge tournaments.  Keep an eye out for 6’5 guard Tyrei Randall he played very well in St. Louis and grabbed some attention.

R1 Colorado Titans Elite – The Titans have had a decent summer so far. They have showed well so far in the tournaments that they have been in. Justinian Jessup  is proving is worth being in the top five players in the state. Frank Ryder is showing that he can play against guys his size and Chris Helbig has shown that he can score and is very smart basketball player. How will the Titans hold up playing in two tournaments?

X1 Billups Select – Big time stage for the Select kids. They play well together but could be undersized for a national level tournament.

16’s Schedule

H1 Colorado Hawks – After not meet expectations in Atlanta, the 16’s made a final four run in the top bracket of the Las Vegas Live tournament last week. 6’2 guard Braxton Bertolette had two games of 30 points or better and Calvin Fugett’s play got him his first D1 offer from the University of Montana. Hawks are primed for a good tournament.

I2 Billups Elite – point guard Jaizec Lottie had a very solid Adidas All American Camp last week. Jalen Sanders is one of the top wings in the class of 2017 in Colorado. The 16’s had a good showing in Chicago early in the month. Lottie should be ready to lead this team deep along with back court mate Elijah Blake

M3 Colorado Titans Elite – This will be a big time tournament for the Titans. They too are splitting time at the Las Vegas Classic and the Summer Championships.

15’s Schedule

C1 Colorado Hawks – Feature a very talented roster that includes many players that have seen varsity action.  Guards Sam Masten ( Air Force offer) , Daylen Kountz , Jon’il Fugett and wing Tre Peirre  are some that saw varsity action last year for their high school teams. Out on the circuit the  Hawks made it to the championship game last week at Las Vegas Live and held a sizable lead until they let it slip. Freshman to be Kenny Foster is also a key cog for the Hawks. Look for Will Becker and Brendan LaRose to add a punch at the forward spots.

F1 Billups Elite – pg Kaison Hammonds lead a very good Billups team into it’s toughest competition  of the summer. John Harge has already received offers from Utah State, Kent State and North Dakota. Deondre Barfield and Courtney Dean are two very athletic players in this class and shouldn’t have any problem getting to the basket.

I4 Colorado Titans Elite – Like their bigger counter parts the Titans are splitting time in two tournaments. They don’t have much size so they will need to rely on their skill and shooting ability to make a deep run
